wire bending sculpture

This wire bending sculpture was created for the Montreal Botanical Gardens for their Lantern Festival. It was designed and constructed by a team at UMAKE. The model was first built completely in foam and then wire was bent around it. Once the wire structure was created we added lights to the interior and stretched and glued fabric to the exterior. Finally everything was painted using an airbrush.
